Customs Functions

The main functions of Guadeloupe Customs are to maintain national security, protect economic interests, promote legal trade, and ensure the legal entry and exit of people and goods.

Notes

Declaration obligations: All passengers and goods entering Guadeloupe must declare to the customs and fill out the declaration form truthfully.

Prohibited items: Drugs, weapons, endangered wildlife products and other items are prohibited from being brought into the country.

Food restrictions: For food, animal and plant products, the customs has strict quarantine regulations, and some foods may be prohibited from entering the country.

Currency declaration: If you bring a large amount of cash or securities of equivalent value into the country, you must declare it to the customs.
