Example: A shipment from Shanghai to Riga measures 45 cm x 42 cm x 17 cm and weighs 3 kg. Its volumetric weight is 45 x 42 x 17 / 5000 ≈ 6.5 kg. Since 6.5 kg is greater than 3 kg, the billable weight for this shipment is 6.5 kg.

Volume Weight vs. Actual Weight:
If the volume weight exceeds the actual weight, the shipment will be charged based on volume weight.
Example:
Volume: 1 cubic meter
Actual Weight: 130kg
Number of Cartons: 8
Carton Dimensions: 50cm x 50cm x 50cm
Volume Weight Calculation: 8 x (50 x 50 x 50) / 6000 = 166.6666kg = 167kg
Since 167kg is greater than 130kg, the volume weight exceeds the actual weight, and the shipment will be charged based on volume weight.
