Billing Method for Express Shipments:

Single Shipment Billing Weight:

For shipments under 20.5 kg (inclusive), weight will be rounded up to the nearest 0.5 kg.
For shipments over 21 kg (inclusive), weight will be rounded up to the nearest 1 kg.
1 pound = 0.5 kg
Chargeable weight: The greater of the actual weight or volumetric weight will be used as the chargeable weight for each piece.
Volumetric weight: (length (cm) x width (cm) x height (cm)) ÷ 5000
Example: A shipment from Shanghai to Babada has dimensions of 45 cm x 42 cm x 17 cm and an actual weight of 3 kg. Its volumetric weight is 45 * 42 * 17 / 5000 ≈ 6.5 kg. Since 6.5 kg is greater than 3 kg, the chargeable weight for this shipment is 6.5 kg.

DHL Hong Kong does not accept shipments under the following conditions:

Single piece chargeable weight exceeding 300 kg
Single shipment total chargeable weight exceeding 3000 kg; shipments exceeding 1000 kg require booking and must be successfully booked before shipment

Volumetric weight calculation formula for air freight:

1 cubic meter = 167 kg
(Length x Width x Height) / 6000 = kg (length units for length, width and height are "cm")
These two volumetric weight calculation formulas are the standard calculation formulas used by all airlines around the world.
For example: The total volume and weight on the air freight bill are 1 cubic meter and 130 kg respectively, and there are 8 cartons of goods. The dimensions of the carton are 505050 cm respectively. The total volumetric weight = 8 * (505050) / 6000 = 166.6666KGS = 167 kg. 167 kg is greater than 130 kg, which means that the volumetric weight is greater than the actual weight of the goods. This ticket is for air freight weight, and the fee is charged based on the volumetric weight.

Types of goods exported by air freight from China:

General cargo air freight: Furniture / home appliances / mobile phones and accessories / clothes, bags and shoes / computers / office supplies / outdoor products / auto parts / books / toys and musical instruments, etc.
Restricted air freight: These goods are mostly those that pose a potential risk to the aircraft, and some inspections and certificates from relevant professional institutions must be provided before they can be airlifted from China. The most common ones in daily import and export air transportation are: pure battery products: mobile phone batteries/power banks/mobile power supplies; products with batteries: solar street lights/electric bicycles; cosmetics: masks; chemicals: thermos cups (with gel); fruits and vegetables: apples/grapefruits, etc.
Prohibited air freight: International air freight must comply with the "Civil Aviation Cargo Transportation Regulations" and prohibit the transportation of goods that pose a safety threat to the aircraft or harm to the human body during the flight of the aircraft, such as flammable and explosive products; another is the goods prohibited by international laws and regulations.
