Home / Logistics Knowledge / How to Find Reliable Suppliers in China
Finding a supplier is easy; finding a reliable one takes checks. This guide covers the main channels and the verification steps that separate serious factories from trading companies or scams.
Ask for a business license, the factory address, and production photos or a video tour. A trading company is not automatically bad, but you should know whether you are paying a middleman. A third-party audit or a virtual factory tour closes the gap.
A sample order reveals quality, communication, and whether the supplier follows specifications. Compare samples from two or three candidates before choosing.
Minimum order quantities (MOQ) vary widely. Smaller factories may accept lower MOQs; large ones may not. Negotiate MOQ, lead time, and payment terms together, not in isolation.
It is a starting point with built-in escrow (Trade Assurance), but you still must vet the specific supplier, request samples, and verify the business.
A factory gives better pricing and control; a trading company can offer flexibility and lower MOQs. Know which you are dealing with.
It depends on the product. Many factories accept a small trial order for new buyers; negotiate it as part of the overall deal.
