Grenada Customs Import and Export Taxes

Tariffs: Tariffs are ad valorem taxes levied on the CIF price of goods. Tariff rates vary depending on the origin and type of goods. Most imports from outside the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) are subject to tariffs ranging from 5% to 40%.

Value Added Tax (GCT): GCT is a broad consumption tax levied on all goods and services sold in Grenada. The GCT rate is 25%. Goods from CARICOM member countries are exempt from GCT.

Consumption Tax (CST): CST is an additional tax levied on certain goods, such as alcohol and tobacco. CST rates vary.

Tax Threshold: There are no duty-free allowances for imported goods. All goods valued at more than XCD 100 are subject to tariffs and GCT.

Special Tariffs: Special tariffs are levied on certain goods, such as cars, clothing, and electronics.

Licenses and Quotas: The import of certain goods requires a license or quota.

Customs valuation:If customs authorities are not satisfied with the value of the imported goods, they may conduct a customs valuation. Customs valuation is usually based on the CIF price of the goods.
