Imposed on imported goods, the rate varies depending on the type of goods, ranging from duty-free to 20%.
Goods and Services Tax (GST)
Imposed on imported and locally produced goods and services, the rate is 10%.
Some basic goods and services (such as food, medicine and education) are eligible for GST
reduction or exemption.
Tax Threshold
The GST tax threshold for imported goods is $100.
Imports below $100 are not subject to GST, but customs duties may still be paid.
