Full Container Load

We offer full container shipping from major Chinese ports (Shanghai, Ningbo, Shenzhen, Qingdao, Xiamen) to the preferred Adriatic ports for BiH – primarily Ploče (Croatia) and Koper (Slovenia). Vessels typically follow the route: China → South China Sea → Malacca Strait → Indian Ocean → Suez Canal → Mediterranean → Adriatic Sea. Major carriers include Maersk, MSC, CMA CGM, COSCO, Hapag‑Lloyd, and ONE.

• Transit time: 35‑45 days (via Suez Canal) to Adriatic ports
• Container types: 20GP / 40GP / 40HQ, with weekly sailings
• Included: Export customs clearance in China, ocean freight, and destination THC
• Service end: Ploče or Koper Port. Consignee arranges clearance and final truck/rail delivery to BiH
• Best for: Bulk cargo, machinery, electronics, construction materials, consumer goods

FCL Pricing

• 20GP (Shanghai/Ningbo → Ploče): $1,500 – $2,200
• 40GP (Shanghai/Ningbo → Ploče): $2,200 – $3,200

• Rates vary by port of origin, shipping line, and seasonal demand. Prices are highly volatile.

Less than Container Load

For shipments below a full container, we offer LCL consolidation services from major Chinese ports to Ploče or Koper. Cargo is consolidated in our China warehouses, shipped to the Adriatic port, deconsolidated, and then forwarded to BiH via truck or rail. This is ideal for smaller volumes (2‑15 CBM).

• Pricing: Per CBM or per ton (whichever higher)
• Service end: Ploče or Koper warehouse – final delivery to BiH arranged separately
• Transit time: 40‑55 days (including consolidation and deconsolidation)

LCL Shipping Notes

LCL shipments to BiH are typically routed via Koper or Ploče, with reliable feeder services from Mediterranean hubs. We can also arrange customs clearance at the port and onward transport to your final address.

Air Freight to Sarajevo (SJJ)

Time‑sensitive cargo moves via air freight to Sarajevo International Airport (SJJ), the main international airport in BiH. No direct flights from China currently exist; cargo transits through hubs such as Istanbul (IST), Frankfurt (FRA), Vienna (VIE), or Dubai (DXB). Air freight is ideal for high‑value, urgent goods, electronics, spare parts, and pharmaceuticals.

• Transit time: 5‑7 business days (economy), 3‑5 days (priority)
• Service end: SJJ Airport – consignee handles clearance or we can arrange local delivery

International Express (DHL / FedEx / UPS / EMS)

For small parcels, documents, samples, or personal effects, we offer express courier with true door‑to‑door delivery to any address in Bosnia and Herzegovina – including Sarajevo, Banja Luka, Tuzla, Mostar, and all other cities.

Key Customs Regulations

• Import Duties: Based on BiH Customs Tariff – rates range 0‑30% (average ~10‑15%), with preferential rates for countries with SAA or other agreements.
• VAT (PDV): 17% standard rate (some goods exempt or reduced)
• Excise duties: Apply to alcohol, tobacco, energy products, and vehicles
• De minimis: Shipments valued under €150 (approx. $160) are exempt from customs duties but still subject to VAT and possible handling fees.
• Customs broker: While not mandatory, using a licensed customs agent is highly recommended to ensure smooth clearance.
• ITA system: All declarations are processed electronically through the ITA's integrated system.
• Prohibited items: Counterfeit goods, narcotics, weapons (without permit), hazardous waste.
