Lebanon has one significant port: Beirut (port code LBBRY), the largest harbour on the eastern Mediterranean coast and the entry point for the overwhelming majority of the country's imports. All our lanes sail direct, keeping transit at 23–25 days.

Ningbo publishes two rates for the same service — USD 115 per CBM for direct shippers and USD 125 per CBM for fellow forwarders — so it is worth confirming which tariff applies to you. Tianjin carries a PSS (peak season surcharge) of USD 15 per revenue tonne on top of its USD 120 per CBM. The Shanghai service is currently suspended.

Two Ningbo tariffs. USD 115 per CBM for direct shippers and USD 125 per CBM for fellow forwarders, on identical sailings. Confirm which applies before you quote your customer.

PSS on Tianjin. The Tianjin lane adds a peak season surcharge of USD 15 per revenue tonne. On dense cargo this can exceed the difference between the origins, so calculate the all-in figure rather than comparing headline rates.

Shanghai is suspended. The Shanghai–Beirut service is temporarily out of operation and freight collect is not available on it. Check with us before planning around that origin.

All lanes direct. No transhipment on any Beirut service, which keeps cargo handling to a minimum and transit consistent at 23–25 days.

Beirut as a Levantine gateway

Beirut handles the great majority of Lebanese trade and is also a relay point for Syria and, to a lesser extent, Iraq. The port is well equipped for containers, but its recent history means schedules can change quickly — always reconfirm the sailing shortly before cut-off and build slack into your delivery promise.

Reading the tariff correctly

The three live lanes differ in ways that are not obvious from the headline numbers. Ningbo 115 for direct customers, 125 for forwarders, both 25 days. Tianjin 120 plus USD 15 per revenue tonne, 23 days. For a 10 CBM shipment weighing 8 tonnes, Tianjin costs 10 × 120 + 8 × 15 = USD 1,320 against Ningbo's USD 1,150 — so the cheaper-looking Tianjin rate is in fact the more expensive option once the PSS is applied.
