Rate rangeUSD 5–165 per CBM
Transit time3–11 days
Volume tiers3 bands on most Manila lanes
Fastest laneHuangpu → Manila, 3 days

The Philippines is one of the shortest and best-served lanes on our network. Manila is reached in three to four days, Cebu in four, and Davao in eleven via Cebu. Four origins all price Manila on the same three-band structure, which makes comparison straightforward.

Shanghai to Cebu is remarkable: USD 15 per CBM between 1 and 3 CBM and just USD 5 per CBM above 3 CBM. Huangpu New Port is the best all-round Manila origin at USD 105–135 per CBM. Since transit is measured in days rather than weeks, this is a lane where speed is essentially free.

How to read these rates: figures are indicative reference levels for port-to-port LCL ocean freight, updated for October 2026. They exclude origin haulage, warehouse and customs charges, destination port charges and any surcharges. Space, cut-off times and rates must be re-confirmed at booking.

Huangpu New Port is the value origin for Manila. USD 105–135 per CBM and a three-day transit, the fastest lane in this set and 20–30 per cent cheaper than Shenzhen or Shantou at comparable volumes.

Shanghai to Cebu is priced aggressively. USD 15 per CBM between 1 and 3 CBM, and USD 5 per CBM above 3 CBM. Those are the lowest per-CBM figures anywhere in this batch of guides — a promotional structure on the Cebu lane.

Davao requires a Cebu transhipment. The only non-direct lane here; USD 80 per CBM with a 2 CBM minimum and an 11-day transit. Everything else sails direct.

A short-sea market with real competition

The Philippines is close enough to China that four origins compete on the same three-band structure, and the resulting rates are the lowest we hold. Because transit is three to four days, the usual trade-off between speed and cost almost disappears — you can pick the cheapest origin and still beat most destinations on delivery time.

Manila port congestion

Manila's terminals have a long history of congestion, particularly around the Christmas peak from October to December. The ocean transit is only three days, but clearance and collection can take considerably longer. If your consignee has a delivery deadline in the fourth quarter, build in several days of slack at the destination rather than paying for a faster origin.

FAQ — LCL shipping from China to the Philippines

What is the cheapest LCL rate to the Philippines?
USD 5 per CBM from Shanghai to Cebu for consignments above 3 CBM — the lowest figure in this entire set of guides. For Manila, Huangpu New Port at USD 105 per CBM above 4 CBM is the best value.
How long does LCL from China to the Philippines take?
Three days to Manila from Huangpu, three to four days from Shenzhen, Shantou and Shanghai, four days to Cebu and eleven days to Davao via Cebu.
Why is Shanghai to Cebu so cheap?
The Cebu lane carries an aggressive promotional rate — USD 15 per CBM between 1 and 3 CBM and USD 5 above 3 CBM. It reflects the carrier's tariff on that specific service.
Is Davao served directly?
No. Davao cargo tranships at Cebu and carries a 2 CBM minimum, adding about a week to the transit.
What about Manila congestion?
It is real, especially in the peak season from October to December. The ocean leg is only three days, so plan the slack at the destination rather than at the origin.
