Route Map of Departure Station and Destination Station of China to Kazakhstan Container Railway Freight

There are only two railway stations from China to Kazakhstan that can provide international container railway freight services. One is Xi'an in Shaanxi and the other is Qingdao in Shandong Province. The container railway freight from these two railway stations to Kazakhstan is divided into several different lines and trains. There are more than 17 railway lines in total, which lead to the five cities of Almaty, Astana, Atyrau, Karaganda and Simkent.

The detailed main lines of China-Kazakhstan container railway freight lines can be summarized into the following:

• The first line is: (Chengdu, Chongqing, Yiwu, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Dongguan, Huizhou, Shanghai, Beijing, Xi'an, Wuhan, Changsha, Xiamen) -- Alashankou -- Atenkori -- Almaty
• The second line is: (Shantou, Heyuan, Suzhou, Tianjin, Guangxi) -- Alashankou --- Dostyk -- Astana
• The third line is: Zhongshan, Foshan, Jiangmen -- Horgos -- Atenkori -- Simkent
• The fourth line: (Qingdao, Tianjin, Shenyang, Yantai, Laiyang, Weifang, Zibo, Jinan, Dezhou, Linyi) - Almaty, Astana

There are a total of 17 lines for container railway freight from China to Kazakhstan. Some lines are sold in duplicate, and basically one to two trains are departed of per line per week. The running time is calculated from the start of the train, including the time to change the rail in the middle, and the total time to the destination port is 15~20 days.

Compared with the lines of China Railway Express of One Belt and One Road, the running time of railways from Central Asia to Kazakhstan is relatively slow .Spending the same amount of time, from China to Kazakhstan, it is 3,000 kilometers less than from China to European countries. The main reason for this is because of the changing rails in the middle.
