UN 38.3 Test Report & Test Summary

Purpose:
To certify that the batteries have passed the 8 safety tests specified by the United Nations (altitude simulation, thermal cycling, vibration, shock, etc.). It serves as the safety passport for lithium batteries.

Requirements:
The report must be issued by a qualified third-party laboratory, and the tested samples must be identical in model and specification to the actual products being shipped.

MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet)

Purpose:
To detail the chemical composition, physical properties, hazards, and emergency handling procedures of the battery.

Requirements:
Must include Section 14 (Transport Information) and be the latest version.

Dangerous Goods Transport Identification Certificate

Purpose:
Issued by a certification body approved by the Civil Aviation Administration, confirming that the goods comply with IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR).

Requirements:
Valid for one calendar year and must be renewed annually.

Dangerous Goods Declaration (DGD)

Purpose:
A formal declaration document submitted by the shipper to the airline, detailing UN number, packing instruction, SOC value, etc.

Requirements:
Must be affixed with the company seal of the declaring entity, and all information must be fully consistent with the airway bill and actual goods.

Dangerous Goods Packaging Certificate (Result of Identification for Use of Dangerous Goods Packaging)

Purpose:
To certify that the packaging (e.g., UN box) has passed performance testing and is used in compliance with regulations.

Requirements:
Must correspond to the applicable packing instructions (PI965/966/967) and certify that the packaging can withstand a 1.2-meter drop test.
